i think we're all set...

for Allie's slumber party tonight.

our baby girl will be 9 tomorrow.

NINE.

i'm freaking out. (surprise, lol)

it's the last time she'll celebrate a birthday in the single digits. it's getting harder and harder to shop for her, because she prefers gift cards. this is probably the last year for the 'themed' cake...Hannah Montana, in case you wondered, lol.

but i keep reminding myself that there are so many 'firsts' coming her way in light of all of the 'lasts'. like her first slumber party this evening...3 of her best buds are coming over around 5:30 to hang out, have fun and giggle the night away. i know there will be a jillion slumber parties, but this one's the first.

oh well.

i'm trying to deal with it.

wanted to post a layout i did for Pink Paislee...i have to admit, when i first received these 'boy' and 'girl' stamps in my goodie box, i had NO idea what to do with them. and the other day i saw them peeking out of their box on my desk and it hit me. i used them to tell a quickie version of the ol' 'boy meets girl...' story. i incorporated them and several other Pink Paislee stamps right into the body of the journaling, and i really like how it turned out!! cross your fingers that Mike & i survive the night...these girlies may never get to sleep!

Oh yeah and look how wonderful your layout looks. You make it look so easy. I think it will be a fun night today. Happy Birthday to your baby. Enjoy the moment girl, no matter how chaotic it might be.

Good luck! I (and my parents) still remember the sleepover I had for my 10th birthday...it was so fun but no sleep happened! A few kids didn't go to another sleepover for awhile after!

awesome page. your layouts always inspire me. enjoy every moment of the giggles, lip gloss, popcorn, singing to Hannah Montana songs. these are the best times in the world. i've decided each time we are in in the "best". happy birthday to your special little girlie.

Oh, I remember my daughter's birthday slumber parties growing up - no sleep and lots of giggles - with bubble gum ice cream from BR (don't know if they have that anymore) and then I'd make heart waffles the next morning...fun memories. And the best part is, the fun pictures you'll have for scrapbooking pages! Can't wait to see the pics of Allie's best friends and the cute LOs you'll do with them!!! Cathy
